There are 78 episodes in Sonic X.

The conventional length of an episode is 24:35, or 24:05 for episodes 52 and 78.

Seasons

Season 1 spans from episodes 1 to 52 and season 2 spans from episodes 53 to 78.

The English dub made by 4Kids Entertainment splits the series into three seasons of 26 episodes.

Arcs

The separation of the series into arcs is not an exact science.

The usual split is something like this:

• Episodes 1 to 13 are the New World arc.
• Episodes 14 to 26 are the Chaos Emeralds arc.
• Episodes 27 to 32 are the Chaos arc.
• Episodes 33 to 38 are the Shadow arc.
• Episode 39 is on its own as a recap episode.
• Episodes 40 and 41 are the Egg Moon arc.
• Episodes 42 to 46 are the Emerl arc.
• Episodes 47 and 48 are the Murasia arc.
• Episodes 49 to 52 are the Homebound arc.
• Episodes 53 to 78 are the Metarex arc.

Part A and part B

Part A of an episode ends after the first eyecatch card. Part B starts at the second one.

For episode 52, which does not have eyecatch cards, the split between part A and part B is made at 18:42.
