# Japanese v2.0.1 (Discotek v2)

The **Japanese Discotek v2 masters (v2.0.1)** are an evolution of the [Japanese Discotek v1 masters (v2.0.0)](https://chaotix.tv/books/masters/page/japanese-v200-discotek-v1).

They were used for:

- the second print of the Japanese Blu-rays release (01-78);
- the 2025 YouTube uploads (01-20)—along with hard [v2.0.0](https://chaotix.tv/books/masters/page/japanese-v200-discotek-v1) subtitles.

The subtitles were used for the [2024-08 YouTube uploads](https://chaotix.tv/books/masters/page/japanese-v111-kids) (01-10).

They fixed some errors found in the [first print (v2.0.0)](https://chaotix.tv/books/masters/page/japanese-v200-discotek-v1). Only disc 1 (01-39) was modified.

An edited scene from the 4Kids masters could be seen at `10:14`. It is now fixed.

#### Episode 32

The final scene from `20:42` to `22:45` was reëncoded, removing the black borders. This change is hard to explain, because there are way more scenes with the same black borders throughout the episode. Did they want that scene to be more polished than others?

#### Episode 35

The scene at `06:44` where Eggman is talking to Shadow was all messed up. It is now fixed.
